There will be photo opportunities; four lucky young ladies will receive a makeover by “Style U Glam” and a make-up gift bag provided by Motives for LaLa. This is an effort to encourage youth (whom are sexually active) between the ages of 13 to 20 to get tested and stay protected!

In the evening, S.T.A.R. will host a *”Venus vs. Mars” discussion sponsored by MGM Grand Detroit and VMCP Inc., regarding the lack of communication in relationships that lead to unfortunate health disparities among couples, marriages, families and our community, inside MGM’s “Ignite” from 7 p.m. – 12 a.m.; sounds by Wax Tax ‘N Dre of HOT 107.5. *Must be 21+.

During this discussion, celebrities/public figures will define and reiterate how communication serves as an important part of developing and maintaining healthy sexual relationships. Among this roster, S.T.A.R. welcomes:

Actor/Producer (Sony Screen Gems), Trae Ireland ~ “Love That Girl,” “Death At a Funeral,” and “A Fool & His Money”
Casting Director/Producer (Motives for La La, NBC Universal & KSP Entertainment), Steven Price
Radio Personality (KJLH, Los Angeles)/Model, Nautica De La Cruz
And more to be confirmed …

The S.T.A.R. Foundation’s campaign addresses the gap in service and advocacy regarding HIV and STD prevention by using popular youth culture to effectively communicate life-saving messages and promote a healthy lifestyle.
