UPDATE 9:19 PM EST:
Mack Maine, president of YMCMB, and Wayne’s mentor and “father” Birdman both claim that TMZ’s report is false and tweeted the following:
There has been no statement released yet by Lil Wayne.
After suffering multiple seizures in recent months, the latest being Tuesday, rapper Lil Wayne, 30, is reportedly in ICU in critical condition at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles and is not expected to live, reports TMZ.
Wayne was treated and released after the episode on Tuesday, but was found unconscious on the floor hours later by a bodyguard.
According to reports, Wayne’s mother is on her way to Los Angeles and all health decisions rest with her — including whether to take him off life support.
Wayne was rushed to the hospital again, but this time he did not stabilize. He was taken to ICU, where he was placed in restraints because he was shaking uncontrollably.
We’re told Wayne is currently “unstable,” and has been placed in an induced coma. He is breathing through tubes.
We’re told several people are at Wayne’s bedside crying, and a number of rap artists and family members are on the way. Sources say the scene is violent as Wayne shakes uncontrollably.
Sources say there’s evidence Wayne went on a Sizzurp binge after being released Wednesday, because doctors found high amounts of codeine in his system.
We’re told Wanye’s stomach was pumped 3 times to flush the drugs from his system.
NewsOne will keep you updated as more information is released. Though reports are unconfirmed at this time, our thoughts and prayers are with Wayne and his family.
