Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and Democratic challenger Mark Schauer sparred in their first and only debate at Wayne State University Sunday.

Among the hot topics were taxes, roads, education, prisons, gay marriage and emergency managers.

Detroit Public Television, The Detroit News, and the Detroit Free Press are co-hosting the event. The town hall forum was an audience of undecided voters, chosen by independent research companies contracted by both the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News.
