SPECIAL INSTRUCTOR OF FINANCE

The School of Business Administration at Oakland University seeks to fill a Special Instructor of Finance position starting August 15, 2016. This is a full-time position eligible for job security. The person who fills this position will likely teach undergraduate and MBA level courses. He/she will provide counseling for students enrolled in the finance programs, and will assist the department chair with administrative activities. Class sizes are moderate. Summer teaching is available. The salary is competitive and the fringe benefits are excellent.

 

Successful candidates will have a master’s degree in finance or related area (including MBA) and minimum five year’s relevant professional experience. A Ph.D. in finance or related area is also acceptable. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Professional certifications are a plus (e.g. CFA, CFP) as is experience in interacting with business professionals. The candidates are expected to be able to communicate effectively and collaborate with other faculty members. Evidence of, or potential for, professional or academic research is desired.
