The most important night in sports went down without a hitch last night, and Chance The Rapper was front and center.

At the 2016 ESPYs, Chance The Rapper performed a heartfelt tribute to the late, great Muhammad Ali with Jamilah Woods and the Social Experiment backing him. Basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar introduced the Chicago emcee.

As Chance performed a never-before-heard new song, a montage of iconic images appeared on the big screen behind him. The performance was so riveting it ended with a standing ovation from every sports icon in the room.

Earlier this summer, the world lost Muhammad Ali at the age of 74. Since then, everyone from President Barack Obama to LeBron James have paid their respects to the icon.
