A Texas man is spreading the holiday spirit in Fort Worth. According to reports, the individual, who wants to remain anonymous, was recorded on camera handing out $100 bills to employees at a local McDonald’s. The man made his gifting very discreet by simply handing over the cash without placing an order. “You could tell it blessed their day,” said Lisa Davila, one of the man’s employees. “They didn’t come in there [to work] thinking that was going to happen that day… and that was the best part about it.” She shared that he is battling cancer and wants to spread joy despite this challenging period in his life. Hillary Clinton Makes First Remarks Since Concession Speech
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delivered her first public speech since conceding the presidential race to Donald Trump. Clinton took the stage Wednesday evening at a gala for the Children’s Defense Fund in Washington, D.C. It was a full circle moment for Clinton, who interned at the organization after finishing law school. During her speech, she shared that although the election results created a major political divide throughout the nation, everyone should remain hopeful about the future of our country. “The divisions laid bare by this election run deep, but please listen to me when I say this: America is worth it,” said Clinton. She also got candid and talked about how the aftermath of the election results has been a struggle for her. “I will admit, coming here tonight wasn’t the easiest thing for me. Michigan Rep. John Conyers’ Son Missing
Carl Conyers, the son of U.S. Representative John Conyers, has been reported missing. The 21-year-old was last seen by his roommate at their apartment in South Central Houston, Texas. Conyers is enrolled at the University of Houston. His father John Conyers, who is 87-years-old, is the longest-serving Congressional representative. He’s been in Congress for 51 years. Prince’s Estate Slaps Jay Z’s Roc Nation With Lawsuit
Just weeks after mogul Jay Z tried to acquire the late legendary singer Prince’s music catalog, Prince’s estate has slapped his Roc Nation label with a lawsuit. According to Prince’s NPG Music Publishing and NPG Records Inc., Tidal has been illegally streaming the singer’s music. Prince’s estate is suing Roc Nation for copyright infringement. Roc Nation and NPG signed a deal to have Prince’s HitNRun: Phase 1 album streamed on Tidal. However, NPG is claiming that although the company had the rights to feature that project on the music streaming service, they didn’t have the permission to stream his other music. Prince’s estate is suing for damages and has requested that Tidal has refraines from streaming all of his other songs. Read more.
LeBron James’ SpringHill Entertainment Inks Deal With NBC For New Game Show
NBA star LeBron James is trying to expand his brand to television. According to reports, his SpringHill Entertainment production company has inked a deal with NBC for a new game show titled The Wall. The show, which will be hosted by Chris Hardwick, will give contestants the opportunity to score huge cash prizes while tackling trivia questions. The project is being executive produced by James, Hardwick, Andrew Glassman and Maverick Carter. “In this game, you need both the answers and bounces … with millions at stake every night,” said the producers.
