Aretha Franklin has cancelled her July 27 performance at DTE Energy Music Theatre due to health concerns. Refunds are available at point of purchase.
Franklin’s public relations team released the following statement today:
Dear Fans, Friends and Supporters,
Regretfully I must cancel one last time my DTE Energy Pine Knob Music Theatre concert July 27 due to my miscalculation of the end of my treatment. It would be totally disruptive to stop them now and go into concert with total success right at the door, 100%.
I love you much and more than the spoken word can tell. I’ll see you next summer.
Vivre Detroit and the concert,
