Joy D. Calloway currently serves as president and chief executive officer of New Center Community Services. Preceding her current role, Calloway was associate vice president for Community and Rural Network Development for St. Joseph Mercy Oakland.
A proud alumni of The University of Michigan (BA, MBA, MHSA), she remains very active in mentoring and young professionals to assist them with navigating through their collegiate, graduate and early career choices. Calloway has worked in a variety of professional settings including management consulting, employee benefits management, health care operations and non-profit management. She regularly offers the fruit of her labor to others in a consultation capacity. The proud professional is active with the National Association of Health Services Executives, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Ms. Calloway has served and continues to be a devoted servant on numerous boards. She is a graduate of Leadership HFHS, Leadership Oakland, Trinity Health’s Strategic Leadership Program and Leadership Detroit program (Class XXXI). in her leisure time Calloway enjoys her book club, traveling and playing Scrabble with her mother. She is married to Victor McIntosh and has a 16-year old daughter, Vashti.
