High school and community college students throughout Michigan are invited to join Walsh College students and alumni by participating in the fourth annual Walsh College Blackstone LaunchPad “Make It Better Competition”.
Designed to inspire out-of-the-box thinking and spark interest in entrepreneurial ventures, the competition requires individuals to describe in 1,000 words or less how they would redesign an existing product or service, or develop a new one to help improve the quality of people’s lives or make the state of Michigan or their community a better place to live. The contest offers an opportunity for an optional marketing submission to accompany the essay.
A total of 10 cash prizes, including two $500 top awards will be presented, along with four Apple® gift cards.
“Innovation is essential in creating and maintaining a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. We strive to inspire budding entrepreneurs of all ages to explore their creativity and fulfill their entrepreneurial dreams,” said Carol Glynn, director of Walsh College’s Blackstone LaunchPad program.
Walsh College’s Blackstone LaunchPad program encourages entrepreneurism as a viable career path and helps individuals start new companies and take untested ideas to market. Paramount to the program’s priorities is its efforts to keep created jobs in Michigan.
