The City of Warren will be celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Day on January 18, 2016 at noon till 1 p.m. The Observation will take place at Warren City Hall located at 1 City Square, Warren, MI 48093. This year’s theme is: Dr. King’s Legacy: “What Are You Doing For Others?”
We are pleased to have as our special guest, morning news anchor Malcom Maddox from WXYZ Channel 7 news. In addition, there will be rare artifacts of Dr. King that will be shared from the Charles Wright Museum of African American History. There will be rare autographed books and photographs from Dr. King that will be available for public viewing.
Mayor James Fouts has been an avid fighter for racial and religious diversity in his administration. He is committed to preserving the legacy and mandate of public service that was exemplified in Dr. Martin Luther King. This is a free event and the public is welcome to attend.
