DTE Energy is helping to expand local businesses and bring new businesses to Michigan to strengthen the vitality of our communities, and support economic success and growth throughout the state. The company is able to achieve this by collaborating with partners early to help with the development process and continue to work closely with vendors throughout the life of their business. In 2015, DTE spent $945 million with Michigan-based suppliers and has increased its commitment to invest $5 billion over the next five years, which represents $500 million annually in new supplier contracts – an increase of more than 200 percent since first partnering with PMBC in 2011.
