WHAT:

The Detroit Public Library hosts its 150th Anniversary Gala event to raise funds for the “Children Who Can Read, Succeed” literacy initiative, a program designed to enhance the skills of students, grades K-3. World-renowned novelist, playwright and social commentator Walter Mosley is the special guest.

 

WHEN:            March 19, 2016 – 5:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

6:00 p.m. – Strolling Buffet, Cocktails & Music by ‘313 The Live Experience’

 

8:30 p.m. – A Conversation with Novelist, Playwright & Social Commentator Walter Mosley, moderated by Fox 2 News Anchor, Huel Perkins. Afterglow and music follow the program

 

11:00 P.M. – Evening Concludes
