Last night, the mag’s cover stars –Zendaya, Kylie Jenner, Hailey Baldwin and Gugu Mbatha-Raw – celebrated the issue at a party in New York City. For the event, Zendaya arrived in a matching top and jacket set by Chanel. Meanwhile, Kylie wore an all-white ensemble by Balmain.
While the ladies appeared to be in good spirits, the obvious elephant in the room was the controversy caused by Kylie’s assertion in the mag that she “started” the wigs trend. In case you missed it, check out what she had to say below.
“I started wigs, and now everyone is wearing wigs. Kim [Kardashian] just used my wig guy last night…I just do whatever I want to do, and people will follow.”
Understandably, Twitter was up in arms, and the 18-year-old reality star quickly took to social media to share her side, accusing Marie Claire of switching up her words:
When publications switch up your words for hype.. Damn.
