April Beat StreetHey beatmakers, listen up! Urban Ambiance Radio presents The Beat Street Producer battles. Held the last Sunday of every month the Beat Street Producer Battles is a chance for the people who MAKE THE MUSIC to be heard! Any given night you can go watch artists perform, DJ’s spin records but rarely does the producer get to shine.

Hosted by Uncle P of Street Hitter Deejays and Nerve DJ the battles give producers the chance to rock the crowd. “I’ve seen many producers come thru my beat battles the last 9 years, and where most feel its all about winning, its really about being heard. I say this because I have seen more producers that “DIDNT WIN” end up with great opportunities down the road from simply getting there name out and music heard,” said Uncle P.

“The Beat Street Producer Battles gives producers a chance to get out the lab and hear the music they produce on a professional sound system. Something they can’t recreate in their personal studios,” he continues. “I’ve seen producers improve there mixing by being able to hear there music in the club where people actually enjoy music.”

This Sunday the battles will be held at the Grasshopper Underground at 22757 Woodward Ave., Ferndale, MI. Participants must be 21 and over and the admission is $10 at the door. The winner gets a write up on detroitrap.com, priority placement for battles at other large venues and a cash prize ranging from $50 to $100.

Producers wishing to participate in the battle can submit a sample of their production to urbanambianceradio@gmail.com. Submissions will receive an email with either a time slot in the show or an explanation informing the producer why they weren’t accepted for the battle and how they can improve or submit another production for consideration.
