Cathy Hope is approaching her two-year anniversary of being natural in June. How has she achieved such growth in such a short period of time? Cathy’s hair tip is to “keep hair moisturized to curtail breakage.” Lack of moisture causes breakage of hair. Hydrated hair is healthy hair. Remember this, beauties!

Cathy maintains her mane by washing and conditioning her hair with Shea Moisture Intensive Hydration Shampoo and Carol’s Daughter Monoi Repairing Conditioner. The Monoi Repairing Conditioner is essential for women who are experiencing breakage. It helps to prevent breakage so hair spends more time on your head and less time in the sink. After she washes and conditions her hair, Cathy adds Creme of Nature Butterlicious Curls Creme to further define her curl pattern and keep her hair moisturized as it’s packed with argan oil. She will section her hair in large parts and braid leaving the ends loose. After her hair dries, she will comb out and use Zenzele Sangria hair oil which contains both jojoba oil and rooibos oil, stimulating both hair health and growth. Beauties, this oil will also make for a great hot oil treatment. All of these products are great for women who experience breakage or are having trouble growing their hair.

What we learned from Cathy is that moisturizer and hair care is essential to hair growth and health. You don’t have to use a ton of different products, but ensure the ones that you do use are packed with nutrients and safeguard your hair from the dangers of constant manipulation and breakage.
