Azealia Banks has a negative Twitter reputation due to her not so “politically correct” tweets on the platform. The Harlem rapper has been been accused of being homophobic, misogynistic, and has been seen spewing anti-black sentiments. What finally pushed Twitter to delete her account has been sort of a mystery. Prior to her account being banned, she got into an argument with 14-year-old Skai Jackson and was dropped from a UK performance after a rant about ZAYN.  After she discovered her account was banned, she took to Instagram to tell people what she believed to be the catalyst.

“Realize I insulted Indians, Pakistani, black folk…And my twitter didn’t get suspended until I said “WHITENESS IS A MENTAL ILLNESS” you guys need to pay the f*uck attention to what is Happening here.”

Banks tried to create another Twitter account, @AZEALIABANKSand posted reactions to fans being excited for her return. She also had a message for Twitter.

In a move that shouldn’t be shocking to anyone, that account was suspended as well.
