Afropunk Festival Portraits, August 22-23, 2015

Earlier this spring, Top Dawg Entertainment announced six new projects on deck. According to their latest preview, Ab-Soul‘s release looks to be next in line behind ScHoolboy Q’s forthcoming LP.

After his album These Days dropped in 2014, Ab expressed his discontent with TDE’s slow and strategic release schedule. However, the Cali emcee’s time has finally come.

TDE’s CEO and founder Top Dawg posted a preview of Ab-Soul’s forthcoming new project on Instagram, writing:

“#TDE in house listening session with @souloho3 … Shit sounding Krazy…. It’s mixing and sample clearing time…. Y’all know Wut happens after that.. There’s ur @souloho3 update…I told y’all I had y’all covered now get off my back lol 😂😂😂 J/p … Nothin but love 4 y’all ….#gettoponthephone”

No word on when Ab’s new LP will drop, but we’re guessing it’ll be after ScHoolboy’s album and before SZA’s new project. Stay tuned for more info.
