Last month, Victoria’s Secret announced they would be phasing out their swimwear collection and now, the company appears to have taken things even further.
The store will no longer sell clothes, shoes, or accessories, ELLE reports. Instead, Vicky’s will focus on its lingerie, as well as the younger PINK and beauty lines. The move appears to be a part of the restructuring the company is facing due to poor profits.
According to Fashionista, the Victoria’s Secret quarterly report showed a 7 percent decrease, with beauty being the lowest selling category. This morning, they offered the following statement regarding swimwear:
In order to better focus our resources on core merchandise categories, we have decided to eliminate non-core businesses including swim in our Victoria’s Secret lingerie business and shoes, accessories and apparel that were offered in our digital channel but not in stores.
