Big Sean and Fonzworth Bentley gave us a heads up and now we’re all ears.
Earlier this week, Big Sean and Fonzworth Bentley shared Snapchat videos of their studio session with Kanye. Today, The Life Of Pablo rapper stopped by Los Angeles’ 92.3 radio show with Big Boy to premiere the untitled Cruel Winter single.
While the new single doesn’t have a title, it features Quavo of Migos, Travi$ Scott, Gucci Mane, Desiigner, Yo Gotti, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean. During Kanye’s interview with Big Boy, he revealed that the song may not be for sale anytime soon.
“We might mix it a couple more times before it’s up for sale,” Kanye said. “I had the basic beat for a year and a half. It sounded right for this project. This is the hook we should have for the first single.”
When asked about his method of working with other artists, Kanye said “a lot of times it’s just the energy in the studio, whoever is coming by. And then we get to talk about who would sound nice on the track.”
Taylor Swift and the infamous “Famous” line also came up in conversation, and Kanye reconfirmed what he told the media months earlier. “Yes, I told her we were going to say that,” he said. “I didn’t tell her—I asked her how she felt about it.”
No word on when Cruel Winter will drop, but we’re guessing sometime this fall. Kanye’s also reportedly readying the Turbo Grafx 16 LP. Take a listen below.
