While we wait patiently for Jay Z‘s next project, we learn that it’s the rap icon’s “Money Ain’t A Thang” peer Jermaine Dupriwho has the scoop on what to expect – but mum’s the word.
The 43-year-old hit producer sat down with Rap Radar’s Elliott Wilson and Brian Miller and said not only does he know the name of Hov’s forthcoming album, it might already be done.
“When he and I had [our first] conversation, we sounded like two people that knew each other already,” said Dupri. “Me and Jay have conversations that I’m sure he don’t have with nobody else.”
He goes on to say a lot…without really saying much.
“We have conversations and we talk unlike anybody else. Even at the Beyonce concert..I know the name of Hov’s new album and everything right now. Me and him…we good,” he said before adding, “I’m probably…It might be done.”
Jay recently lent his voice to Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s “All The Way Up,” as well as DJ Khaled’s “I Got The Keys.” He also took on police brutality and the ironies of fatherhood in new single “Spiritual.” Listen to that here.
