Tooth_Fairy_Wayne_County_Health_and_Safety_Fun_Fest_2011_139.jpg.jpgWayne County sheriff’s deputies will host games and show off some of their skills to the community during the department’s Field Day.

The family event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 30 at Wayne State University’s athletic field.

Sporting events include track and field, co-ed softball, three-on-three basketball, an obstacle course and tug-of-war. The sheriff’s mounted and motor units also will perform drills.

Children can participate in face-painting and art and crafts, watch clown performances and play on bounce houses.

Food and beverages will be provided. Children also will receive book bags — while supplies last.
