The Festival of Praise Tour 2016, which took place Nov. 7 at Heinz Hall, featured some of the hottest names in gospel music today.
The gospel greats Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker, Israel Houghton, Karen Clark Sheard, Regina Belle, and Casey J. joined forces to create a dynamic praise and worship experience.
The concert was emceed by popular comedian Earthquake, who kept the audience entertained between performances, enhancing their worship experience.
Juanita Surley, a concert attendee said, “I enjoyed this evening. What a terrific gospel explosion. It’s such a moving experience to join with so many people that share that love for God. (I’m) feeling happy to have been a part of this praise festival.”
The Festival of Praise tour kicked off this fall and has hit countless cities throughout the country.
Sheard said, “Come on Pittsburgh. Let’s have a praise party!”
Agreeing with Sheard, concert-goer Vanessa Wiggins said, “A praise party is the best way to describe the evening because that is exactly what it was. People filled the venue from top to bottom praising God. Beautiful experience.”
With the tour being a success last year, the multiple Grammy and BET Award-winning artists decided to unite to grace the stage and put on a powerful, live praise experience.
Hammond said, “Thanks for all the love, family. We can feel your prayers.”
Veronica Toomey, a concert attendee said, “Fred Hammond has always been one of my favorite gospel artists. I still play many of his albums. His voice is anointed and so powerful that it truly speaks to your spirit. All of the artist are so talented, and blessed with the gift of the song.”
